I know you commented something, but all I keep seeing is “douchebagdouchebagdouchebag” in a Peanuts-Adult wonky voice.

      1. David_Does_Dallas says:

He said the Cowboys have five Superbowl championships and the Eagles have zero. And that isn’t it surprising that the NFC East is so dominant in Superbowl victories with the dead weight of the Eagles dragging the rest of us down?

        1. corn on the Kolb says:

Because the conversation was about things in the past, and not a measure of teams today?

          Thanks for staying relevant.

          1. Bob says:

Okay, back to today: The Eagles are still the worst team in the NFC East.

            1. They certainly were in 2012. I’m not so sure they’ll be the bottom feeders in 2013.

I think you’ve had too many Chip Kelly smoothies.

  4. NYG_Slater says:

correlation would be pretty insignificant. There’s like 10 teams within 4 pounds of each other. That’s like one bowel movement for these guys.

  5. Invictus XI says:

The heaviest 4-3 teams run some form of hybrid defense as well. The top 5 teams in that list have some pass rush component as an OLB as well, so they are 34 esque. Makes sense to me. Broncos with Miller, Seahawks with Irvin, Titans with Ayers, even Chandler Jones played in a 2 point for the Pats at times.

  6. bula says:

just a thought, you should have added defensive ranks to that chart to see if their is a correlation between front 7 weight and effectiveness

    1. I considered it. However, a lot of teams look nothing like the way they did last year, which would make some of the yardage rankings irrelevant.

      1. corn on the Kolb says:

For part 2, rank them last year by starter average weight, defensive efficency, red zone defense, and maybe mix in run and pass stats?

Just a thought. Seemed pretty Bye Dawk like.

  7. Baloophi says:

    Now let’s do the fanbase…

      1. Dallas sure is full of fatties.

        1. horatius says:

Apparently, the right ones are not interested in playing for the Cowboys.

            1. Holy gigantic paragraph. That is unreadable, ha.
