Tyson Clabo to sign with Dolphins, which will affect Doug Free’s situation in Dallas

Chad Speck, the agent for former Falcons OT Tyson Clabo, tweeted that the Dolphins will be signing Clabo today:

Clabo

A few days ago, CBS Dallas’ Mike Fisher reported that Clabo was “the Cowboys’ top-rated free-agent tackle, by far.”

On Friday, I played the role of Doug Free’s agent. Free already had plenty of leverage even with Clabo still on the market. With the Cowboys’ top rated free agent OT off the table, the Cowboys can pretty much forget about Free taking a “substantial” pay cut.

It is looking more and more like the Cowboys’ RT this season could once again be Doug Free.

Two years ago the Eagles were prepared to offer Free a big contract. Luckily for them Evan Mathis panned out allowing Herremans to move to RT.

I remember wanting to sign him real badly both to get a good RT and fuck with Dallas at the same time. Good thing we didn’t

Top pass rushers Doug Free are going to face, but I think BBI got the sides mixed up. Free will not face them, Smith will, but Free will still face the likes of Barwin/Graham, Tuck and Orakpo 6 times.
