Nnamdi Asomugha was set to make $15 million this season, $4 million of which the Eagles will still have to pay him. The Eagles will now have over $45 million in cap space after this move, which had been expected for a about a week. I didn’t bother to write some kind of official eulogy, but obviously Asomugha is THE face of the 2011 Eagles free agency spending spree that failed so horribly.
I didn’t think Nnamdi’s 2011 season was awful, although clearly it was disappointing. 2012, on the other hand, was dreadful.
