9) Here’s what the Giants need to make the playoffs after two consecutive embarrassing performances against the Falcons and Ravens:

  1. They need the Lions to beat the Bears at 1:00 on Sunday.
  2. They need the Packers to beat the Vikings at 4:30.
  3. They need the Redskins to beat the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.
  4. But first, they need to take care of business against a woeful Eagles team… at home… and I’m not even sure they can do that at this point.

Last week in Baltimore, the Giants lost 33-14, but the sad thing was that the score was in no way even close to indicative of what happened in that game.  The Ravens outgained the Giants 533-186.  That’s the kind of thing that happens in college when a team like Alabama plays a tune-up game against a team like Florida Atlantic.  It’s not the kind of thing that typically happens to the reigning Super Bowl champs.

Good write up Jimmy. I’ve been waiting for your thoughts on the Cowboys-Saints and Giants-Ravens games. Will you be posting them soon, perchance?

    1. Christmas threw a wrench into things. Truth be told, I saw almost none of the Cowboys game yet, and caught the Giants game partially on the radio, and partially at a friend ‘s house. So I have some catching up to do.

Whatever you do, don’t pick the Cowboys to win Sunday night in D.C.
Please? I’ll seriously paypal you some form of currency. I’m about as confident that the boys pull this out as I could possibly be, and the only thing to put a dent in that confidence is the dreaded “JimmyJinx”.

    I’m serious too. Very Serious.

    1. Ha, I know you are.

Jimmy, Pick the redskins. They won the last 4 times you picked them.
