Dez Bryant reportedly to have surgery on his finger, season could be over

Per Richie Whitt of CBSDFW.com:

Just when the results were beginning to match the potential of Dez Bryant, his season is reportedly over.  Bryant has emerged as the Cowboys’ best player on that Dallas offense.  Here are his numbers over the last five games:

Dez Bryant Rec Yards YPC TD
Eagles 3 87 29 1
Browns 12 145 12.1 1
Redskins 8 145 18.1 2
Eagles 6 98 16.3 2
Bengals 4 50 12.5 1
TOTAL 33 525 15.9 7

Bryant went on IR in 2010, his rookie season, after breaking his leg on a kick return.  He also missed a game last year. The remaining Cowboys receivers are Miles Austin, Kevin Ogletree, Dwayne Harris, Cole Beasley, and Anthony Armstrong.

Devastating loss.

UPDATE: OK, so there’s still hope for Dallas fans: Conflicting reports!

Be careful what you wish for dude, and wear extra padding.

      There’s a greater than 50/50 chance that he’ll drop us…
