The Cowboys D is hurting up the middle

The perception is that the Cowboys are going to roll all over the Eagles this weekend, in a game they have to win to keep their season on life support.  It’s hard to argue with that sentiment, seeing as the rest of the league been rolling all over the Eagles in recent weeks.  Vegas has the spread at  Cowboys -10.

However, if I may, I’d like to note something very quickly.  The Cowboys are very banged up on defense, and more specifically, up the middle.  Sean Lee, Bruce Carter, and Barry Church are all out for the season.  Meanwhile, Jay Ratliff remains questionable with a groin injury, and has yet to practice this week (as of Wednesday).  Here is what Dallas’ starters were supposed to be on defense up the middle, and what it has become, if in fact Ratliff is not a go this weekend:

Look both ways before you cross the street, Gerald Sensabaugh.

  1. […]  That’s where DeMarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer live, guys.  Meanwhile, the Cowboys were decimated up the middle.  When the Eagles finally decided to run at them, that’s when they began to have success. […]

i dont get the -10 at all.. i love my Cowboys but who have they beat all year by more then 10? the Eagles but that was kinda fluky. i do see Dallas winning but by 4-7 at most. and yes WAY to many injuries this year.

I say we run Bryce Brown on all 3 downs and hope he dont fumble.

    1. Ha, I might actually be on board with that.
