For the first time this season, I’ll get to see all 4 NFC East games live. One team is hanging by a thread, two are hanging by a slightly thicker thread. They’re lined up perfectly:
Panthers at Redskins: FOX, 1pm, Kenny, Moose and Goose. The “Read Option Bowl.”
Steelers at Giants: CBS, 4:25pm, Jim “Hello friends” Nantz and Phil Simms. The entire country will get this one, with the exception of Seattle and San Francisco.
Cowboys at Falcons: SNF, Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth. I have no idea what Vegas is thinking, not that I’m one to doubt Vegas, but this game opened up at Falcons -3. That means that Vegas thinks these teams are evenly matched. Really, Vegas? Not saying the Cowboys have no shot to win, mind you, but that spread is curiously low. Maybe it’s because the Cowboys’ season is on the line, as in, if they drop to 3-5 they’re done?
Eagles at Saints: MNF, Jon Gruden and Mike Tirico. Another game where a “very talented” 3-4 team tries to avoid going 3-5.
