Not sure about that 2.5 spread in the Eagles-Ravens game. On the one hand, Michael Vick was hard on the eyes last week. On the other hand, Vegas is smart.

I am havinga hard time buying the Giants as 7.5 favourites… particularly given that the Bucs D shut down Cam Newton and RB crew. I know they did not light up the scoreboard, but they looked mighty impressive blamming the Panthers in Week One.
Eagles spent the last 2 weeks preparing for Baltimore, and didn’t gameplan for the Browns.
RIP Mike Vick!
Vegas has been in love with the Eagles since last year.
Vegas knows what WIP does not: team performance can vary wildly week to week in the NFL. Based solely on last week, the NY Jets look like worldbeaters and the Packers look like duds. Any idea of what the line would be if those two teams met?
Opening week 2011, the Atlanta Falcons got abused by the Bears while the Bills rolled the Chiefs. Were either of those games any indication of the year in store for Atlanta or Buffalo?
Yes
Yup. And with the Eagles looking like they have no business on the same field as the Ravens, we’ll all take Baltimore, and wave goodbye to our money as the unexpected happens.
Think it just goes to show how popular the Eagles are. Lots of people bet on them regardless. This line will most definitely move though.
Maybe that came out BEFORE the game yesterday?
Nah, the Eagles was +3 before game time
Doesn’t Vegas give 3 to the home right at the snap?
Yeah, what they’re saying is that these two teams are close to being even, which of course is not what every football fan saw Week 1. Interesting line. People are going to bet the hell out of the Ravens. That line will come down close to a pick ‘em by game time.
Yeah, so technically the Ravens are favored by .5.
And it looks like
Wow. Shocked to see Eagles favored. I was thinking Ravens -3 or 4 after seeing them last night.
What the line is telling us, if this game was on a neutral field, it would be -0.5
even so
