Eagles lose arguably their best player with a ruptured Achilles

To be determined how long he’ll be out, but this is devastating news to the Eagles.  Expect Todd Herremans to move over to LT and King Dunlap to fill in at RT until he can return, whenever that may be.

Dunlap has filled in for Peters and played admirably. Don’t underestimate the importance of continuity. I could easily see Herremans staying where he’s at and sliding King in at LT.

Tebow Christ, that sucks! However, as the G-Men proved last year, you can overcome injuries, no matter how crucial of a player/position.

  10. Jimmer says:

Not a doctor but this seems like the type of injury (especially for a 300+ lb. OT) that will take a guy out for a season.

Fuck. Do you kno the general timetable for an injury like this?

Also, do you think we’ll start Dunlap or look for other options in FA/Draft?

    1. Probably the season. And even if he returns somehow mid-late season, he won’t be anywhere near as good as he was last year.

And yes, Dunlap could very well start. They’ll probably insert him in at RT, and slide Herremans over to LT.

Nothing much left in free agency as far as OT’s. Draft has a few good prospects, but it’ll be tough relying on a rookie to start at OT from Day 1.
