Updated: Details of Cullen Jenkins’ restructured deal

Per Andrew Brandt of National Football Post, Jenkins’ salary was reduced from $2.75 million to $820,000, for a savings of $1.93 million toward the cap.  He’ll retain his $5 million signing bonus, due March 13th.

In new restructured contract w/Eagles, Cullen Jenkins retains his $5M roster bonus in March, reducing salary to $820,000.

    Another good deal for the Eagles. Jenkins must really want to play in Philly. It’s hard to believe that other teams didn’t offer him more last year than what he got from the Eagles and now he is restructuring the deal. Either that or his agent is giving him terrible advice.

    Figures they would take the one “name” FA they signed last offseason that actually earned his paycheck and give him a pay cut.

    Hopefully this is a prelude to resigning DeSean. Though I doubt an extra $2 mil in cap space was really holding the Eagles back on that one.
