Antrel Rolle sure is tough on Tuesday. Some quotables from his weekly show with Joe and Evan on WFAN:
The truth of the matter is that team is a good team, and I respect the Eagles. You know, I respect them for what they are, and the time they have, and the coaching and the whole organization and the staff. But at the end of the day, do they compare to us? Maybe. Are they better than us? Not at all.
I saw the cheap shot on Eli Manning, which like I said before and it took everything in me to stay on my feet, because I know how I am at the end of the day. And I know how sometimes I let my emotions get the better part of me. So, you know, I think it was a smart thing for me to stay on my feet. Now for the guys that were on the field with Eli Manning, you know, I can’t speak for them. I would never wish or tell my teammates or you know, even hope that they act out of context or do anything stupid that would get them thrown out of the game, or do anything that may be costly to the team. But at the end of the day there’s a way of you getting your point across between those white lines, if you understand what I’m saying. There’s ins and outs of a way for you to get your point across to let them know, you, there’s no punks on this team. You know, you not gonna cheap shot my quarterback and think you gonna get away with it, at the end of the day. You know, and I like DeSean Jackson. You know, DeSean Jackson is my boy. But had I known that he did what he did during that game, I would have did everything in my power to wipe his ass out. Without a doubt.
At the end of the day, when you see that number 26 jersey on there on the football field, he’s gonna give you all that he’s got. I’m not gonna always be right, and I’m not gonna always be perfect, but I’m give you everything I got, and you better believe that dawg is gonna be there every Sunday.
Let’s call it how it is. The Giants are 6-4, and the Eagles are 4-6. While the Giants hold a major edge in the standings, the Eagles physically abused the Giants Sunday night, and beat them with an injury-decimated team. They’ve won 7 of the last 8 contests vs the Giants. They own the Giants. Antrel Rolle just comes off as comical here.
