Week 2 NFC East injury report

Nothing too crazy on the Cardinals’ side, but there should be some concern with the Redskins’ injuries.  Kevin Kolb is legit, and this team is going to be able to pass the ball all season.  Reed Doughty got lit up last week against the Giants, so if LaRon Landry is still a no go, expect the Cards to get some mismatches there.  DeAngelo Hall is also questionable, as is Brian Orakpo.

Big trouble here for the the Cowboys.  CB Terence Newman is still out, as is CB Orlando Scandrick, and Mike Jenkins remains banged up.  Jenkins is expected to play, with Alan Ball starting on the other side.  Oof.  I suspect that we’ll see a rare look from this Niners team, as they should try to spread the Cowboys out and exploit the Cowboys’ ailing secondary.  The Niners are mostly healthy.

(Eagles and Giants after the jump)…

The biggest concern here would be Jason Peters, who left practice yesterday with a sore Achilles.  He’s questionable.  Phillip Hunt will be filling in for Darryl Tapp, who really played well last week.  The Falcons could be vulnerable in the trenches on both sides of the ball, with C Todd McClure out, as well as DT Jonathan Babineaux.  DT Corey Peters is also not 100%,but is expected to play.

There’s no official status for this Monday nighter from the NFL yet, but here’s their player participation.  If Steven Jackson is a no go (as he’s expected to be) and the Giants can’t pull this one off, they may very well have a top 10 draft pick to think about next year.

  1. cwel87 says:

I’ll buy Kolb being legit after eight weeks. Not after one (against the Panthers, no less).

    1. Ha, I bought Kolb being legit before the season even started.

  2. The Legend says:

I don’t think the Cardinals will be able to pass the ball on November 13, 2011

  3. Steve D. says:

If Jason Peters doesn’t play, who will block Trent Cole? 🙂

    1. They STILL haven’t fixed that, by the way.

      1. cwel87 says:

Who really expects them to fix that?
