Linky – August 19, 2011 – The Eagles stunk last night

Eagles fans… take a day off.

Cowboys, Giants, and Redskins fans… enjoy your warm glass of schadenfreude.

I’m not going to comment after each of these, because really, how many times can I say “Agreed, they looked awful.”

Andy Reid: “We all stunk” – Michael David Smith, PFT

Eagles notes: Steelers exploit Eagles’ aggressive defense early – Jonathan Tamari,

Eagles stuck in Vicksand in loss to Steelers –

Matthews may not be answer in the middle – Jeff McLane,

Eagles lay a big fat stinker in Pittsburgh, lose 24-14 – Jason Brewer, BGN

Early postgame thoughts – Tommy Lawlor, IgglesBlitz

Eagles safety Allen has rough showing in defeat – John Perrotto, CSN Philly

Mike Kafka provides some late highlights – Jason Brewer, SB Nation Philly

At least the Phillies are always awesome.

On a side note, I think for tonight’s Redskins game, I’m going to have my stopwatch ready so I can time how long it takes from the moment a team scores all the way through commercials-touchback-commercials until the next ball is snapped.  Over-under – 5 minutes.

No way the Eags are that bad again all season… too bad it happened now instead of when it mattered.

  2. GiantsFan says:

last night made me smile…. Vick will NOT repeat his numbers from last season…

    1. cwel87 says:

Enough with the god damned ellipses people

      1. AtlEagle says:

        u mad bro …

    2. packimop says:

      But Eli Manning will

    3. slandog says:

I don’t think Vick will have the same numbers as last season either, and I’m an Eagles fan. But I don’t think he’ll be as bad as he was against Pittsburgh either. He’ll still get his TD’s throwing and running. But I think his INT’s will be in the teen range for sure.

But hopefully that won’t mean as much if our passing defense is hopefully better in the red zone.

    ::evil laugh::

    1. Fiftyfourd says:

Damn and I really thought you switched to the eagles side after FA.

  4. Tyler says:

I really think that if Jenkins doesn’t get that Facemask on Big Ben the game may have unfolded differently. Not that it really matters b/c its preseason.

Matthews…ugh. I can usually point to something as a bright spot, but man he looked bad in every phase last night. Nightmares of a Joe Mays redux

  5. ATLEagle says:

Funny Jimmy, I was taking rough times on the commercial-touchback-commercial-snap last night. 5 minutes from the time of the touchdown? I take the over… There is seriously enough time to do laundry during the lack of action this rule has given us. Our wives will love the time we can give them on sundays this fall.

    1. Adamnb87 says:

      :05 seconds?

  6. Chuck says:

Did anyone else notice Terry Bradshaw was plastered last night?

    1. cwel87 says:

      Did anyone not notice?

      1. bdawk4ever says:

Well, I was plastered too, so it was hard to notice…
