Mark Herzlich chooses Giants over Eagles

Cancer survivor Mark Herzlich has confirmed via his twitter account that he has signed with the Giants:

Decision is made I will be a #GIANT can’t wait to get to #NYC. Thank you for everything.less than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone Favorite Retweet Reply

Technically, Mark, you’ll be heading to North Jersey, which is still a great place nevertheless. The move makes sense on a number of levels. The Giants have a weak LB corps, Tom Coughlin has roots to Boston College, and the Giants are a decent-to-good team. Herzlich reportedly had his share of suitors, as was expected, with the Eagles being one according to Adam Schefter:

The Eagles drafted three rookie linebackers in the 2011 NFL draft: Casey Matthews, Brian Rolle, and Greg Lloyd.

Hate to bring this to your attention but the Eagles and Giants are at about the same level and both their linebackers corps suck. Only diffence is the Giant have won the SB recently the Eagles hmm not so much.

    1. I wouldn’t say the Giants and Eagles are at the same level. What’s the Giants’ OL?

And let the trashing begin… too late, I see The Legend beat me here. Seems sensible, given his Eagle fandom and my Giants fandom, it represents the Eagles versus Giants of late.

My heart is not broken, he’s a ps player. I still laugh that people wanted to pick him over Casey Matthews
