(all NFC East)
According to ESPN:
NFC East sleepers – Kevin Kolb (soon to be non-NFC East), Tashard Choice, Brandon Jacobs, Felix Jones, Anthony Armstrong, Mario Manningham
NFC East busts – Michael Vick, Felix Jones (apparently a sleeper AND a bust), LeSean McCoy, Dez Bryant, Hakeem Nicks
NFC East rookie breakouts – Roy Helu, Leonard Hankerson
Apparently, they met for like 15 hours yesterday, and are planning to get talks going again bright and early at 8am CST. Frankly, they should be working 15-hour days, every day, including weekends and holidays until the get this thing done already. Forget the fans for a second – Countless people’s livelihoods depend on the NFL. If that means that Jerry Jones, Roger Goodell, DeMaurice Smith et al work on July 4th instead of being with their families, so be it. If they want to take an hour-long break on July 4th to have some good old fashioned fun and shoot some bottle rockets at each other in the parking lot, I’m OK with that. But otherwise, we don’t want to hear from you until we hear the words, “The lockout is lifted. We have a deal.”
Elam makes some sense as a lower-cost alternative. The longer the lockout drags on, the more Elam makes sense, as he already knows Rex Ryan’s defense, having played under him in Cleveland. Not sure if I agree with this tidbit from Calvin:
Is there anybody else?Quite a few names. The Cowboys could try to keep Sensabaugh. If not, the Eagles’ Quintin Mikell is an interesting option, as is the Jets’ Brodney Pool. From a financial standpoint, Baltimore’s Dawan Landry and Sensabaugh are the most expensive selections on the market, followed by Mickell (sic), Elam and Pool.
Mikell is going to get paid.
I don’t think the Cowboys can afford him, although it wouldn’t surprise me to see the Redskins send a private jet his way.
(Redskins, Eagles and Giants news after the jump)…
Is he right? I wrote my little snarky comment in the caption above about the Redskins’ fans inability to keep opposing fans out of their stadium, but each of the other 3 teams also have easily-bashable fan bases. I’ve never seen a more boring tailgate than the ones outside Giants stadium, where the elderly season ticket holders of the last 60 years relax with wine and cheese. The Cowboys, of course, are known for their bandwagon fans. And obviously, in the year 2348 people will still be bringing up the horrible Eagles fans that booed Santa Claus.
God told him to go to DC.
Said it before and I’ll say it again. Lance Moore is really good. I think he’d be a great fit in DC.
I was going to choose which Stewart Bradley piece I’d link to, but since Jason linked to all of them, I’ll just send you to his links posts and let you decide.
Cards fans apparently hate this trade. Eagles fans probably do too.
31 others are gunning for the same slutty girl.
An interesting quote lost amid his “McCoy is a coward” tirade.
Apparently, Aaron Ross, Terrell Thomas, Kenny Phillips, and Antrel Rolle are all going with tinted blue visors this year.
Sorry, Giants fans -The rest is just McCoy this, Tuck that.
