Cowboys – I think we can count out the Cowboys here.  They have their starters in Miles Austin and Dez Bryant, and while they should dump Roy Williams, they won’t.  Beyond that, they have decent depth with Kevin Ogletree and rookie Dwayne Harris. They’ll have to decide whether or not they try to bring back special teams standout Sam Hurd.

Eagles – The Eagles reportedly have interest in Plaxico Burress, although I’m not sure what to believe on those reports.  I broke down the pros and cons of Plax as an Eagle about a month ago.  Before those reports surfaced, the Eagles seemingly wouldn’t have interest in any WR’s, unless they brought one in that could also serve as a kick return specialist.  The intriguing names in that regard would be Brad Smith and Eric Weems.

Giants – Aside from bringing back Steve Smith, the Giants are highly unlikely to sign a WR.

Redskins – Lots of disagreement here among Redskins fans on this one.  Some Skins fans would love to see the team make a run at Sidney Rice, who turns 25 in September and had a monster season in 2009, catching 83 balls for 1,312 yards and 8 TD’s.  However, Rice has a potential career-long nagging hip injury that may never completely go away, and is going to cost a boatload of money.  The Skins drafted 3 receivers this year: Leonard Hankerson, Niles Paul and Aldrick Robinson.  They also have Anthony Armstrong, Brandon Banks, and Malcolm Kelly under contract, among some others that are unlikely to crack the 2011 53-man roster.  They have to decide if they want to try to retain Santana Moss.  If they bring Moss back, I don’t see the Skins adding anyone else.  If they don’t, it would make sense to add a veteran receiver.  Personally, I’d be more inclined to fix my QB and OL situations before I starting spending big on receivers, so I’d stay out of the Sidney Rice sweepstakes.  A player that I’ve always admired that I think could put up big numbers in an increased role would be Lance Moore, who would also come a lot cheaper than Rice.

Eric Weems would be a real good pick up for the Eagles. He is a better kick returner then anybody we have on our roster and would also help keep DeSean from taking too much punishment in the punt return game.

Johnnie Lee Higgins could be a good Chad Hall replacement
