Linky – June 9, 2011 – Drew Rosenhaus invades Plax’s personal space

Come on, Drew. A man doesn't leave his feet to hug another man.

Paul still motivated by mom – John Keim, Washington Examiner

Good read on the rookie WR.

Grading the 2008 Redskins draft –

Oof, tough grading here – 1 C+, 2 C’s, 6 F’s, and an Incomplete.

Heyer: Waiting out uncertain offseason has been weird – Mike Jones, The Insider

Lots of guys in Heyer’s position like Doug Free, Stewart Bradley, Barry Cofield, etc.  It must be annoying just waiting in limbo while others make decisions on your future.

Redskins should avoid Plaxico Burress – Homer McFanboy

(News on the Eagles, Giants, and Cowboys after the jump)…

Andy Reid on Plaxico: We haven’t even gone there – Brad Biggs, National Football Post

Of course you haven’t, Big Red.  Obviously, with so much going on in the NFL right now, there’s no time for talking about the upcoming free agency period.

Rosenhaus runs past Burress on the way to promoting Rosenhaus – John Gonzalez,

Spot on.

Eagles’ Allen trying to take on veteran’s role in second year – Jonathan Tamari,

Nate thinks he’ll be ready for camp (if there is one).

Vick to Burress: Put family first – Rob Maaddi, Courier Post

Eagles brass would consider Burress if he’s fit and will fit in – Marcus Hayes, read)

I think Marcus gets paid by the word.

Philadelphia Eagles have their best shot of going undefeated in 2011 – Frank Passalacqua, Bleacher Report

Joe Banner talks Burress, Kolb, and lockout – Tim McManus, Philly Sports Daily

When the doors reopen we’ll have a plan that we’ll attempt to implement. I think Andy [Reid] has spoken about the fact that while we were allowed to, there were a number of teams that expressed interest in Kevin. When the opportunity presents itself we’ll have to get back together with those teams and see if they’re still interested, and if so what they would do, and in the end make a decision that for the Eagles and for Kevin makes the most sense.

Giants heat up with another full team workout – Ralph Vacchiano, The Blue Screen

They got 39 on Tuesday, 36 yesterday.

Don’t forget about Domenik Hixon – Charles Costello,

I always felt that Hixon’s injury last season was a major blow.  Apparently, he’s looks good so far.

Giants continue workouts, promise to address media later in the week – Mike Garofalo,

Mike’s observations from pseudo-camp.

Giants still not talking at practice – Vinny DiTrani, Bregen Record

Seriously… How freaking hard is it to hang out for 10 minutes after practice to answer some questions?  Obviously, people care enough about what you’re doing to show up and cover a boring practice in 95 degree heat, and fans eat this s— up.  10 minutes – That’s it.  Sheesh.

Report: Eagles not interested in Burress – Paul Schwartz, New York Post

I would have put this under the Eagles, but in my news feeds, this story was like 4x more prevalent in the Giants’ coverage.

Taylor: Expect DeMarco Murray to eventually win Cowboys’ starting RB job in 2011 – Sports Day DFW

I’m bullish on Murray too, but let’s chill out a little on that one.

Gallery had similar career path as Davis – Josh Ellis, Cowboys Mothership

I don’t like this option for the Cowboys.  He’s already 30 and is accustomed to making a ton of money.  There are likely to be better options at RG if they want to rid themselves of Leonard Davis’ $6 million contract in 2011.

Solving the Cowboys’ safety issues – Dave Halprin, Blogging the Boys

The Cowboys currently have zero NFL caliber safeties under contract.

Cowboys draft pick: Tyron Smith – Calvin Watkins, ESPN Dallas

Interview with Smith’s OL coach at USC… and so ends a very linkable series 🙁

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett sounds off on Dez Bryant, running back rotation, free agency and Romo’s wedding – Rainer Sabin, SportsDay DFW

Transcribed interview with Rich Eisen.

  1. Bill Ward says:

Word of advice….. don’t ever link to Mr. Passalacqua again without putting in some kind of “Idiot” tags.

Not to start a fight here, but he dismissed the enitre NFC East because the GIANTS choked in a game they had nearly won when Michael Vick had an incredible quarter for a comeback, not seen since… the 1988 Superbowl?

So a once every 20 yearsish fluke is his basis for assuming that the Eagles will go undefeated in the NFC East. This is regardless of the fact THEY DIDN’T BEAT THE TEAMS HE’S DISMISSING. Seems to me he laughed about Washington, but Philly only split with the Redskins, for example.

IOW, it’s Philly fans like him who give the other 10% a bad image (yes, that was a joke… it’s closer to the other 80%, with only 20% that bad).

  2. The Legend says:

    Bleacher report, really?

  3. Mikesta says:

    Frank Passalacqua is an idiot
